Das moderne Paphos ist in zwei Teile geteilt, das obere Gebiet, bekannt als Ktima, ist das Handelszentrum und das alte Zentrum von Paphos, das im Inland auf einer hohen felsigen Kante liegt und den zweiten Teil überblickt. Der zweite Teil ist bekannt als Kato Paphos und beinhaltet die wichtigsten archäologischen Sehenswürdigkeiten, wie mittelalterliche Bäder, Katakomben und eine einfache Fischerkirche, sowie die archäologische Stätte von Paphos, die eine Reihe von Attraktionen beherbergt, einschließlich des Hauses des Dionysos und des Hauses des Theseus, beides Ruinen großer römischer Villen, die für ihre Mosaiken berühmt sind. Die umliegende Gegend ist ländlich, reich an Vegetation mit Bananenplantagen, Zitrusgärten und Weinbergen, die ins sanfte Hügelland der westlichen Troodos-Berge führen. Paphos ist eine faszinierende Stadt mit allerlei antiken Ruinen und Gebieten von exquisiter natürlicher Schönheit.
